Taking the pictures of children is not easy. They pose unnaturally if they know you point your camera to them, they can get bored easily, it is hard to control them etc. I decided writing about photographing children after i visited the class of a friend who is a pre-school teacher. Now i’ll give some information and tips for photographing children;

Be patient

Being patient is important at all kinds of photography as it is at taking pictures of children. Probably you won’t get the perfect shot immediately. You have to wait until they forget you are there then start taking pictures.

Bend on your knees

Shoot the children from their eye level. ıt will make nicer results. Try to show the world from their point of view.

Take spontenous shots

Do not let them pose all the time. Take the pictures when they are not looking at you while they were playing, studying etc. As i said before wait until they forget you are there.

Always be ready

Childrens expressions and feelings can change anytime and they can do many unexpected things so be prapared like a photographer taking pictures of wild life.

Fill the frame

Get close and fill the frame with the face of child.
